EAST VETS WIN THE ASP TROPHY AT TROON

The ASP Trophy is presented by
West Vets Vice Captain Marion Stewart to East Vets Vice Captain Anne Brownie

The West Vets played their annual foursomes match to-day against the East over he Ladies Club Troon Portland today. 
The course was in fantastic condition although the rough was a bit challenging for some pairings.The matches were closely fought with the winners this year being the East Vets who won by 3.5 - 1.5

RESULTS - (West team named first)
Anabel Kane & Liz Hale lost to Rita Dee and Alice Jack in a tough match going all the way to the 18th.
Carol Fell & Jennifer Graham  lost to Fiona Ford & Gilly Glen 2&1
June Lockhart & Morag Key  beat Jane McMinn & Vickie Sandeman.
Anne Aitken & Cathy Morton  lost to Elsa Todd & Gina Thomson.
Trish Brown & Mary Wylie halved with Christine Clark & Mary Richardson thanks to a fantastic chip in for a birdie 4 at the 18th by Mary Wylie.


The Trophy shown in the top picture above (Amicitia Semper Palma - Friendship Always the Prize) was kindly donated, a few years ago, by Asp Robertson from the East.
