Summer Meeting --- Clydebank and District

The SLVGA (West Div ) Summer meeting was held at Clydebank and District with 35 ladies taking part.
Par 71, SSS 71, CSS 72

We were very fortunate with the weather which Anna Telfer (Captain of Milngavie -- pictured above) took full advantage of with a 4 over par 71, net 69, the only player to break par.
Well done Anna!

Helen Faulds is the 2007 West Vets Champion

The final of the 2007 West Vets Championship took place today at Renfrew Golf Club. Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) completed a hat-trick of West Vets Championship wins by defeating Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle) 5 and 4



In the Bronze Championship Maureen Rennie (Douglas Park) defeated Mary Irving (Ranfurly Castle) 4 and 3 ----- A GOOD DAY FOR DOUGLAS PARK

2007 West Vets Final

West Vets Championship 2007 at Renfrew

Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) the 2006 Champion reached the final of the West Vets Championship at Renfrew Golf Club today by beating Sheila Shaw (Lochwinnoch) in the quarter finals in the morning and the Anna Telfer (Milngavie) in the semis in the afternoon. She now meets Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle) tomorrow who beat leading qualifier Janice Paterson (Drumpellier)in the morning and Pat Hutton (Lanark) in the afternoon. The final takes place at 11am tomorrow.
In the Bronze Championship Mary Irving (Ranfurly Castle) meets Maureen Rennie (Douglas Park)

Anna Telfer and Helen Faulds do well in D&A Championship

Congratulations go to Anna Telfer (Milngavie) who reached the Final of this years D&A's Championship. In a closely contested semi final Anna beat Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) by one hole. Anna then lost in the Final to the 14 year old up and coming star Jill Meldrum by 4 and 3
